Starlight’s 2025 in Review: Building Financial Safety Nets at Scale

Starlight 2025: Year in Review
Over the past 12 months, Starlight partnered with 15+ credit unions to help build real financial security for Americans across the country. Together, we delivered results that represent rent paid on time, groceries on the table, and reduced mental stress from undulating cost pressure:
- $15M+ in total savings for members in 2025
- $1.2M in average monthly savings
In 2026, we'll invest in more direct ways to reach members, make impact easier for credit union teams to bring to the fore, and grow our reach across the US.
Customer Case Studies
Rockland Federal Credit Union
Rockland FCU showed what happens when engagement starts with value—not selling. By connecting passive auto loan members to savings and proactive benefits support first, Rockland created deeper, long-term relationships and a spectacularly engaging campaign (103K+ Unique Email Opens, 55% Average Open Rate, 20% Conversion Rate).
First University Credit Union
Unlocked $500K+ in annual assistance for members and earned the 2025 Tekkie Award for People Helping People.
I AM Federal Credit Union
Put $13,000+ directly back into members' pockets, helping households cover everyday essentials.
Starlight also partnered with new innovative credit unions nationwide this year to expand access to financial support:
- St. Louis Community Credit Union
- Christian Financial Credit Union
- Gulf Coast Federal Credit Union
- Community Focus Federal Credit Union
- Metro Credit Union

This year, Starlight achieved SOC 2 Type II compliance, giving partners confidence that member data is handled with enterprise-grade security, availability, and confidentiality controls.
What this means:
- Built to meet regulatory and risk requirements
- Designed to support more complex, regulated environments
- Ready to scale alongside partner institutions
Announcing Starlight's CUSO

To support long-term scale and deeper collaboration, Starlight formed a Credit Union Service Organization (CUSO) following a strategic investment from One Washington Financial. This structure allows for closer collaboration with credit unions, aligned incentives, and continued infrastructure development that supports member financial wellbeing—at scale and over time. Starlight is excited to welcome other mission-aligned credit unions and CUSOs to partner as the company grows its impact on members around the country.
Looking Ahead
This work is only possible because of the Starlight team, credit union partners, and everyone who believes financial institutions can build true resilience for everyday Americans. The past year has been defined by collaboration, trust, and shared purpose—and there's much more ahead.
We look forward to building together in 2026!
